ABOUT FLACO

JUSSY FLACO.
Born and raised in Vallejo, CA. Jussy Flaco grew up listening to whatever his Pop was listening to. Bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, The Brothers Johnson and Kool & The Gang bumped from the speakers of his Pop’s Low Rider as they cruised all throughout Vallejo. However, it was local bands like Con Funk Shun that hailed from their small town that really caught the young Flaco’s attention as his Pop would always remind him when one of their records was playing “ Yeah, these boys are from Vallejo!”
In 1986 as the Hip-Hop world started to evolve, Young Flaco drowned himself in the culture. It was at this time Jussy Flaco started to write lyrics. He loved the concept of rhyming words and finding the different patterns to make songs flow. Then, the debut release of local Vallejo group THE CLICK “Let’s Side” EP, as well as fellow local artist Mac Dre’s song “Too Hard for the F*KN Radio” dropped and this was really what got him hooked into the Rap Game as he saw that you could be from a small town and really put out music....
More importantly, do it independently.
As the young Jussy Flaco showed more interest in pursuing music, his Pop’s saw his passion and equipped him with a 4 Track Recorder, a Mic, Drum Machine and a DX-7 Keyboard. From there, every moment he could, Flaco worked on music with the hopes and dreams of putting out a full-length album. In 1993, under the moniker “Prince Justin”, he released a 2-song cassette single, “JUSMANKAN” w/ “MORE THAN YA’ KNOW – STRAIGHT COOLIN’” on the B-Side. After that, music took a back seat to a career in the tech industry as a Web & Graphic Designer.
Now, the time has come to finally full-fill a dream and release a one time full length album, if not just for himself, but for Pop who isn’t here anymore to witness it.
But, with confidence, Jussy Flaco knows he will be listening from Heaven.
